Macroom GC Outing 17th April 2010

Our first outing of the year was played in beautiful sunshine at Macroom GC. It appears the cobwebs from the extended bad weather over the winter have yet to be blown off many of the members as the scoring was not exceptional. The dry conditions did make the course play quite challenging. Despite the poor scoring, at least one member managed to bring home an outstanding score, so congratulations to Barrie Curley for his first victory with a fine 40pts.

UCC Regain Intervarsity Trophy

Our society team led by new captain Pat Murphy went to Woodbrook Golf Club in Dublin to compete in the recent Golf Intervarsities and returned victorious. The Intervarsity Shield is available to view in the Staff Common Room. Congratulations to all involved.
